NEW DELHI, July 26, 2026 — Amid the recent resignation of Pradhan, senior BJP leader Kuldip Maity stepped forward to commend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, reaffirming that the central government’s decisions are fundamentally driven by the best interests of the nation’s students.

Addressing the political developments, Maity emphasized that the current administration evaluates every major decision through the lens of student welfare and educational integrity.

“Unprecedented changes have taken place in the field of education during Prime Minister Modi’s tenure,” Maity stated. He highlighted the government’s proactive measures to ensure fairness in academia, noting, “The government has enacted strict laws to bring absolute transparency to all competitive examinations, including NEET and JEE. Our primary objective is to ensure that no student faces discrimination and that selection remains solely merit-based.”

Framing Pradhan’s resignation as a testament to the government’s high standards, Maity suggested the move should be viewed in the broader context of administrative transparency and accountability. He reiterated that the core focus of the Modi administration remains the future of India’s youth.

The senior BJP leader also took the opportunity to sharply criticize the opposition, accusing them of exploiting student issues for political gain. “The opposition is not genuinely concerned about students; their only goal is to play politics,” Maity remarked. “When granted the opportunity to discuss these critical issues constructively in Parliament, they run away and instead choose to spread confusion on the streets. Meanwhile, the government stands ready to discuss student issues openly, both inside the House and out.”

In a direct appeal to the youth, Maity urged students not to fall prey to misinformation. “Your future is in safe hands,” he assured. “The work the Modi government has accomplished in the fields of education, skill development, and employment over the last 11 years is unprecedented. We are fully committed to ensuring that every young person in India receives a quality education and access to better opportunities.”

Concluding his address, Maity promised that the BJP-led government will continue to take bold, decisive actions to secure and uplift the educational landscape for students nationwide.
