Kolkata, September 20, 2026: Well-known Bollywood and Bhojpuri film publicist and producer Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala was honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films Kolkata 2026 at a grand ceremony held at the National Library Auditorium in Alipore, Kolkata.

The award ceremony was organised by DPIAF – Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films Organisation (NGO) under the leadership of Founder Chairman Kalyanji Jana. The event was held around the theme “Celebrating Cinema | Culture | Tourism”, bringing together personalities associated with cinema, culture and public life.

Tirath Singh Rawat, Ashok Kirtania Felicitate Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala

Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Tirath Singh Rawat and West Bengal Minister of Food & Supplies Ashok Kirtania presented the honour to Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala.

Speaking at the event, Tirath Singh Rawat praised Patiyala’s contribution to the promotion of Bhojpuri and Bollywood cinema. He congratulated him on receiving the recognition and expressed his best wishes for his future work in the film and cultural sectors.

Ashok Kirtania also congratulated Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala and highlighted Bengal’s longstanding association with art and cinema. He said Patiyala’s work was appreciable and expressed hope that his future projects would further connect Bengal and Bhojpuri cinema.

Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala Expresses Gratitude

After receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films Kolkata 2026, Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala expressed gratitude to DPIAF Founder Chairman Kalyanji Jana, Tirath Singh Rawat and Ashok Kirtania.

Patiyala said the award represents recognition for the wider Bhojpuri and Bollywood film industry. He also said that his long association with film publicity and production has increased his responsibility to contribute further to cinema.

He expressed his commitment to continuing his work in film production and publicity while focusing on good and culturally rooted cinema.

Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala’s Association With Around 1,200 Films

According to the information shared at the event, Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala has been associated with the publicity and promotion of around 1,200 films. Alongside film publicity, he has also produced and directed several films and video albums.

Originally from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Patiyala is also associated with social work. He is the Founder of the Bhushan Family Foundation, which undertakes social initiatives in different states across India.

Work With Leading Bhojpuri and Bollywood Stars

Over the years, Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala has been associated with films featuring several prominent names from the Bhojpuri and Indian film industries.

His professional associations include stars such as Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, Pawan Singh, Khesari Lal Yadav, Pakkhi Hegde and Rani Chatterjee.

The DPIAF Kolkata 2026 recognition adds another milestone to his career in film publicity, promotion and production, particularly his work connected with Bhojpuri cinema and Bollywood.

DPIAF Kolkata 2026 Celebrates Cinema and Culture

The DPIAF Kolkata 2026 event focused on the connection between cinema, culture and tourism. The felicitation of Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala recognised his reported contribution to film promotion and his association with the Bhojpuri and Bollywood industries.

The ceremony at the National Library Auditorium in Kolkata brought attention to the continuing role of cinema in connecting different regional film industries and cultural communities.
