Apple’s new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max may be grabbing attention, but the previous-generation iPhone 17 Pro lineup is emerging as an attractive option for Indian buyers. Croma has announced major offers that bring the effective price of the iPhone 17 Pro 256GB down to ₹69,990, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max can be purchased at an effective price of ₹74,999.
The effective prices are available after combining applicable exchange benefits, exchange bonuses and bank cashback offers. The final price can vary depending on the device being exchanged and the offer selected by the customer.
iPhone 17 Pro Price on Croma
Under Croma’s current offer structure, the iPhone 17 Pro 256GB can be available at an effective price of ₹69,990. Buyers exchanging an eligible old smartphone can get an exchange value of up to ₹44,500 for an iPhone 15 Pro.
Croma is also offering an exchange bonus of up to ₹12,000, along with ₹4,000 bank cashback on select credit cards. These benefits can significantly reduce the effective purchase price of the iPhone 17 Pro.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is available at an effective price of ₹74,999. Customers exchanging an eligible iPhone 15 Pro Max can receive an exchange value of up to ₹53,000 under the applicable offer structure.
However, the actual exchange value and final effective price depend on the model, condition and eligibility of the device being traded in.
iPhone 18 Pro Pre-Bookings Begin at Croma
Croma has also opened pre-bookings for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in India.
Pre-bookings at Croma stores begin on September 12 at 5:30 PM. Customers booking through physical Croma stores can reserve either model by paying ₹5,000. Online pre-bookings through Croma.com, Tata Neu and BigBasket require customers to make the full payment.
Croma is additionally offering an exclusive exchange bonus of up to ₹12,000 for eligible customers.
Croma Data Shows Strong Demand for Pro iPhones
Croma’s analysis of iPhone purchases over the past few years provides an interesting picture of buying trends among Indian consumers.
According to the retailer, around one in five iPhone buyers opted for a Pro model. The trend indicates growing consumer interest in Apple’s premium iPhone variants despite their higher prices.
Storage preferences are also changing. Croma said that 256GB has become the most preferred storage option among buyers, ahead of 128GB and 512GB variants.
This suggests that consumers are increasingly looking for additional storage while still choosing a configuration that sits below Apple’s highest-capacity options.
Android Users Are Switching to iPhone
Croma’s data also highlights Apple’s continued ability to attract customers from rival smartphone platforms.
Around 15 per cent of buyers in the retailer’s analysis switched from Android to iPhone. The figure points to continued interest in Apple’s ecosystem among consumers who previously used Android smartphones.
Maharashtra Leads India’s iPhone Purchases
Maharashtra emerged as the biggest market for iPhone purchases in Croma’s analysis, accounting for 23 per cent of purchases.
Delhi and Karnataka followed, with each state contributing 11 per cent of total iPhone purchases.
The figures underline the strong demand for premium smartphones across major Indian markets, particularly in economically significant states and metropolitan regions.
6.3-Inch iPhones Dominate Sales
Screen size is another important factor influencing iPhone buying decisions.
Croma said the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro, both featuring 6.3-inch displays, together accounted for 84 per cent of sales in its analysis. The larger iPhone 17 Pro Max accounted for 12 per cent of sales.
The figures suggest that a significant majority of buyers prefer the more compact Pro and standard iPhone form factor rather than Apple’s larger Pro Max model.
Croma’s Fastest iPhone Delivery Took Just 10 Minutes
Croma also highlighted the speed of its delivery network. According to the retailer, its fastest iPhone delivery during the period was completed in just 10 minutes and 31 seconds in Pune.
The rapid delivery time reflects the growing importance of quick-commerce and fast fulfilment in India’s premium electronics market.
Should You Buy the iPhone 17 Pro or Wait for iPhone 18 Pro?
For buyers looking for a premium iPhone at a lower effective price, the current Croma offers could make the iPhone 17 Pro worth considering. The ₹69,990 effective price for the 256GB model is particularly notable when combined with eligible exchange and cashback benefits.
However, buyers who want the newest hardware and features may prefer to consider the iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Ultimately, the better choice depends on the buyer’s budget, exchange device, preferred storage capacity and interest in the latest-generation features.
