Mumbai, September 2026: ITM Business School, successfully conducted a Global Immersion Programme in Singapore for its BBA Semester III students, offering them a comprehensive international learning experience combining academic engagement, industry exposure, cross-cultural interaction and experiential learning.
Conducted across multiple groups during June and July 2026, the programme provided students with an opportunity to experience Singapore’s dynamic business ecosystem beyond the conventional classroom. The immersion exposed students to the country’s vibrant landscape of business, technology, finance, energy, infrastructure and higher education, enabling them to connect academic concepts with real-world global practices.
A key highlight was the academic interaction with international students and peers at the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS). Through university sessions and cross-cultural interactions, students exchanged ideas and perspectives with peers from diverse backgrounds. The experience helped strengthen their understanding of cultural diversity while building confidence in cross-cultural communication.
The programme also included industry visits and learning sessions involving Apple Inc., Hyundai Innovation Centre, Pacific Light, Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). These engagements offered students valuable insights into contemporary practices across technology, innovation, energy, finance and infrastructure, while demonstrating how organisations operate within a highly developed global business environment.
Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Lakshmi Mohan, Pro Vice Chancellor, ITM Skills University, said, “Global exposure enables students to broaden their perspectives, build confidence and understand how business operates across cultures. The programme also incorporated cultural immersion through visits to Merlion Park, Singapore Flyer, Suntec City, Marina Bay Sands, Orchard Road, Little India, Chinatown and Sentosa Island. Activities including the cable car experience and Wings of Time show encouraged peer interaction, teamwork and appreciation of Singapore’s multicultural identity.
Singapore’s position as a global financial and business hub, its world-class infrastructure, multicultural environment and strong higher-education ecosystem made it an ideal destination for immersion. The programme enabled students to observe how business, technology, innovation, governance and multiculturalism converge in a leading global city.
